KHWT has strived to build close relationships with the local educational establishments, we truly recognise that our children are our tomorrows world.
therefore our investment of time and building close links with the local schools will not only help in educating children on good health and welfare, hygiene, maintenance and disease control but it will help establish a prepared mindset to work with the hospital in the future.
We have worked with many schools in Kasguma and its surrounding areas, The below schools we have improved the facilities for water supply and lavatories, partial building repairs and resurfacing/concreting of school courtyard areas.

- Bhindi Samani – 3 schools
- Kasguma – 3 schools Bhagali, Chappra, Pechla,
- Sehlar – 2 schools
The following schools we have successfully provided furniture for use in the form of chairs and desks.
- 1. AKAB School for the Blind, Mirpur AJK
- 2. Chappra School and Bhagali School (Kasguma)
We also have worked on projects to re establish school buildings that were damaged by the recent Earthquake in September 2019 at:
- Bhindi Samani – 3 schools
- Kasguma – 3 schools Bhagali, Chappra, Pechla,
- Sehlar – 2 schools
The above two schools were heavily damaged when we first approached, the extent of damage meant that classes were ceased or being held on open ground in tents which were inadequate for school requirements. Our involvement has granted the children and the families hope as we have started a complete rebuild of premises that we are keen to complete very soon. The estimated cost for this project is around £75,000
